"Somalia steps up tax collection despite challenges" - Anadolu Agency article

I went over this article by Anadolu Agency on the tax assessment by the administration in Somalia. What struck me was the sum expressed by the Inland Revenue it said was making and the differentiation to what we find in our capital. Inland Income representative notices that they make "generally $7 - $9 million dollars." Indeed, and that just is from the capital, Mogadishu.

Alright, the part I don't get? how in Divine God's earth would we say we are as yet not ready to fix our drainage framework? Really direct right? The city is flooding and movement has been restricted (had been for so long regardless) and people are dying. My prayers to A Mother who had lost 4 of her youngsters and another family member; all from the same household. This was grievous to hear and exceptionally extreme to take in as I don't think enough resources is being put into consultation from experts regarding the environment. Environmental change is genuine and we are in its cutting edge.

The condition doesn't fit; the only city that pays tax yet whatever improvement we see (if any) just happens to break up in a short time-frame. Now and then you'd believe are these improvements all plastic; all phony? Man, Mogadishu has endured a ton.

Predictions are the cities of Beledweyne and Jowhar will soon see flooding (Allah forbid) as they sit right in the banks of Shabelle River.

The suffering tasked upon us is painful and way to harsh, a never-ending stories of tragedy.

This is the reality in a world where you are not elected; but selected.

A world were politics and business go hand in hand; Till death do us part.

Very unfortunate.
